NO-BAKE CBD COCONUT OAT BALLS

YEILD: Makes 36 balls
These easy to make no-bake treats are so yummy, you may eat them before your dog has the chance too!!
Ingredients:
  • 2/3 cup finely shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 2/3 cup coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup organic, creamy peanut butter (Non-organic will work also, just make sure it has no Xylitol in it.)
  • 5 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • CBD oil as needed ** See note below **
PREPARATION:
  1. Place the shredded coconut in a small bowl and set aside.
  2. In a food processor, or a large bowl, add coconut oil, peanut butter, oats and CBD oil and blend until smooth.
  3. Scoop out tablespoon-sized pieces and roll into balls.
  4. Toss the balls gently in the shredded coconut and place them on a rimmed baking sheet.
  5. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until set. Keep refrigerated in an air-tight container for up to one week, or freeze for longer.
NOTE: To determine the amount of CBD to use, multiply your dogs dose by 36. This will tell you how many milligrams of CBD to add to the recipe. You can then determine how many droppers will be needed based on the per dropper amount for the CBD oil you have.
For Example: If your dog gets 3mg of CBD per dose, you would need to use 108mg for this recipe. If you had the 300mg small dog oil, there is 10mg per dropper. So, you would add 11 droppers to this recipe. (Adding a little extra is fine because the treat will be digested and some of the CBD will be lost during that process.)
